Panvita Ekoteh is part of the Panvita Group. The company was set up in 2004. Its primary activity is managing biogas plants and handling the environmental processes in the Panvita Group. Today, Panvita Ekoteh manages three biogas plants, Nemščak, Motvarjevci, and Jezera.

In 2018, they produced 27,091.6 MWh of electricity which was sold on the market, and 5839.6 MWh of thermal energy. The thermal energy produced is used to heat the chicken farm in Nemščak, the chicken farm in Motvarjevci, and for the heating of the Jezero settlement and Murska Sobota General Hospital.

Digestate (solid and liquid) is used as a fertiliser on the fields of Panvita Kmetijstvo, reducing the use of mineral fertilisers by 300 t/year.

Total installed power is 3337 kW/h, i.e.
• Nemščak Biogas Plant: 1486 kW/h
– electricity produced in 2018: 12,163,190 kW
• Jezera Biogas Plant: 999 kW/h
– electricity produced in 2018: 8,301,825 kW
• Motvarjevci Biogas Plant: 851 kW/h
– electricity produced in 2018: 6,626,592 kW

Thermal energy from the cogeneration is used by:
• Nemščak Biogas Plant to heat the chicken farm in Nemščak,
• Jezera Biogas Plant to partially heat Murska Sobota GH and nearby houses,
• Motvarjevci Biogas Plant to heat the chicken farm in Motvarjevci.

In 2018, the following substrates were used for energy production:
• Nemščak Biogas Plant:
– Pig manure water: 18,942 m3/a (51.9 m3/day),
– ABP (animal by-products): 5,369.786 t/a (14 t/day),
– Biodegradable kitchen waste: 19,472.526 t/a (53.35 t/day),
– Maize silage: 5157 t/a (14 t/day).

• Jezera Biogas Plant:
– Pig manure water: 21,480 m3/a (58.8 m3/day),
– Maize silage: 18,475.735 t/a (50.6 t/day).

• Motvarjevci Biogas Plant:
– Pig manure water and pig manure: 7389 m3/a (20.2 m3/day),
– Maize silage: 13,995.1 t/a (38.3 t/day).
