PROJECT PRESENTATION

The development of innovative energy for melting glass

We are the developer of a project aimed at optimising energy conversion for reducing the share of fossil fuels and replacing them with hydrogen in the industrial glass melting processes.

Our development centre Razvojni center novi materiali (RC eNeM) is the developer of a project aimed at optimising energy conversion for reducing the share of fossil fuels and replacing them with hydrogen in the industrial glass melting processes. The project is co-financed in the amount of EUR 1.5 million by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union. The total project value is EUR 3.8 million.

We have four project partners. As the project objective reveals, we will work with our partners to develop innovative technology based on renewable resources for melting glass. This way, we will be able to achieve considerably smaller CO2 emissions.

Our operations are organised in a way that ensures the economic use of resources. Energy and production efficiency and economic use are prerequisites for introducing the foundations of a circular economy. This will be followed by a new project for the digitisation of our plant for the further improvement of quality, productivity and efficiency. We also strive to prevent waste and develop processes for reusing and recycling generated waste.

We strive to consider the entire life cycle of our products.
