Companies of Dolenjska and Bela krajina were first to take the advantage of the new Chamber of commerce law. Regional companies have confirmed the formation of the first legally independent regional chamber of commerce in Slovenia at the founding meeting in April 2007 named The Chamber of Commerce of Dolenjska and Bela krajina which has became operative on the 1 September 2007.

Chamber of Commerce of Dolenjska and Bela krajina consists of these bodies:

• Assembly,
• Board of directors,
• Supervisory committee,
• President and
• Manager.

All the Chamber’s members represent the assembly. Chamber membership brings the right to vote to every holder. Board of directors is a body of management. It consists of the president and 16 members, representatives of the most respected companies from Dolenjska and Bela krajina. Supervisory committee of three members oversees the legality, economy and regularity of conduct of the Chamber. Jože Colarič was appointed to the position of the president and Tomaž Kordiš was appointed to the position of the manager of the chamber.
